2021 has been a huge year for gossip headlines! On The Social's year-end gossip special, the panel shared their picks for the biggest moments of the year - and boy, were there some big moments.

JESS - #FREEBRITNEY

It's no surprise that this story has dominated headlines everywhere in 2021. In November, Britney Spears's controversial conservatorship (overseen by her father, Jamie) finally ended, thanks in part to a New York TImes documentary called Framing Britney Spears. Not only that, but the unwavering support of many helped the star get out of what many saw to be a bad situation.

CYNTHIA - WILL SMITH AND JADA PINKETT SMITH

It wasn't just one headline with these two - Will and Jada Pinkett Smith got very comfortable talking about their sex lives this year. Remember that whole 'entanglement' situation last year? Well, ever since then, Will has set the record straight during various press interviews, revealing that the couple has an open marriage and some other...um... interesting facts. 

LAINEY - SIMU LIU

Hometown hero Simu Liu became the star of Marvel's first film fronted by an Asian character! He's had an epic year, especially after Shang-Chi & The Legend of the Ten Rings broke box office records, grossing more than 430 million dollars worldwide.

MEL - HARRY AND MEGHAN ON OPRAH

A messy scandal that *still* hasn't quite been resolved, Harry and Meghan's bombshell interview with Oprah was watched by millions. The jaw-dropping allegations were viewed by more than 60 million people worldwide, with 17 million being in the U.S. alone.
