Summer is shorts season! As we all try to beat the heat however we can, many people practically live in shorts for the entire season. When it comes to style, though, shorts can be a little tricky - and that's why stylist Erica Wark brought us some of her favourite shorts to wear this season, so you can look amazing while staying cool.Check out the looks below, and watch the video above for more from Erica!

TREND ONE: THE SWEATSHORT

The sweatshort is a great warm-weather replacement for your favourite pair of sweatpants. Short, long, solid or printed, drawstring or without – there’s a sweatshort to suit all tastes. They’re perfect for working from home, backyard hangouts and cottage getaways too.

TREND THREE: THE BIKE SHORT

The bike short is simply a shorter version of your favourite pair of leggings; cooler for summer, but just as comfortable and functional. Wear them around the house, for a workout, or pair them with a blazer and sneakers for a cool, casual look.

TREND FOUR: THE LONG SHORT

The long short is not only stylish, but extremely comfortable and versatile. Wear them casually with a tank and flip flops; to the office with a blouse and blazer; or wear them for a night out with a crop top and heels. The silhouette is universally flattering because of the high waistline, pleating, pockets and roomier leg. Lengthwise, the hem should hit mid-thigh to just above the knee.
