There's no better way to combat your incoming winter woes than with some fall travel. Canada is going to be covered in gorgeous colours as the weather starts to drop, so what is already an beautiful country will be simply teeming with spectacular sights and foliage! VICTORIA

Head to Butchart Gardens from late September to early October and check out beautiful hikes in the Pacific Rim National Park, go whale watching and check out other outdoor adventures while enjoying the changing colours. Victoria is also famous for antiques, tea rooms, galleries and Victorian architecture! ROCKY MOUNTAINS, ALBERTA

The fall colours peak in the Rocky Mountains from September through October. Hike Johnson Canyon to see waterfalls, creeks and limestone cliffs, or check out Banff Legacy Trail for a great way to see wildlife within the colours. Check Parks Canada website for less crowded but equally as beautiful trails!

ALGONQUIN PARK, ONTARIO

Visit from the end of September to end of October for peak red, yellow and orange colours. The oldest provincial park in Canada, it's 7,653 km² and features dense forest accessible by foot or canoe. Even better, Algonquin releases a fall colour report so you can know when the park is best to visit.

LAURENTIAN MOUNTAINS, QC

Fall colour begins in late September and lasts through late October, attracting people from all over the world. If you visit Mont Tremblant ski resort, the park hosts a bunch of outdoor fall activities like gondola rides, hikes and zip lining. The area has been featured in National Geographic and Lonely Planet as a top fall colour spot in North America, and the government of Quebec also releases a fall foliage map for visitors.

CABOT TRAIL, CAPE BRETON, NS

The Cabot Trail has been ranked one of the most scenic drives on the planet with fall colours reaching their peak in early October. If you visit on Thanksgiving Weekend, the Celtic Colours International Festival begins which includes music, dancing, food, arts and crafts.
