Ingredients
1 tablespoon salted butter, melted
1/2 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons whole milk
1 tablespoon salted butter, melted
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 oz cream cheese, room temperature
1 tablespoon butter, room temperature
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
In a bowl combine the butter, flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and whole milk. Mix and combine the ingredients until it forms a dough. Roll out on a floured surface until it gives you a circle that is about six to eight inches.
In a separate bowl combine the butter, sugar, and cinnamon. Spread over the dough. Cut the dough into three strips. Then roll the dough.
Using a non-stick spray grease a small six to seven-ounce ramekin. Place the roll into the ramekin. Place onto a dish to ensure an easy clean up in the microwave. Cook on high for 60 seconds, check, then cook for an additional 30 to 40 seconds.
In a separate bowl whip together the cream cheese, butter, confectioners’ sugar, and vanilla. Reserve.
Remove the cinnamon bun from the microwave and glaze. Serve and enjoy!
