Directions
Teriyaki Sauce
Mix and mix sesame oil, soy sauce, and brown sugar in a small pot. Place over medium heat.
In a separate bowl, combine the water, cornstarch, and fork whisk until smooth. Add to the glaze mixture and stir well.
Add sesame seeds and cook for a few minutes stirring often to allow the glaze to thicken up. Once done remove from heat and allow to cool.
Ginger Mayo
Prepare the ginger mayo by combining mayonnaise, sour cream, grated ginger, grated garlic, sugar, lime juice, and wasabi paste in a bowl and mixing well.
Reserve in the fridge until ready to build.
Burgers
Preheat grill to medium-high heat
Butter the inside of the buns.
Oil the grill and the tuna. Sear the tuna over high heat. Grill for two to three minutes per side for medium rare. Baste with the glaze while turning steaks. Remove the tuna from the grill and slice against the grain into one-quarter-inch slices.
Place the buns buttered side down on the grill to toast. Remove after one minute. Slather the buns with the tuna mayo.
Layer the tuna on the bun and add your favourite coleslaw or greens. Enjoy!
