This fast and flavourful one-pan gnocchi dish will become your new favourite comfort food. Make life easier with store-bought gnocchi!

Ingredients
2 teaspoons olive oil
200 g Italian sausages (approximately 2), spicy or mild
Salt and black pepper
1 (500 g) package gnocchi
1/4 cup cream, cream cheese or sour cream
1/2 cup water
2 to 3 handfuls spinach or torn kale
1 to 2 tablespoons basil pesto or chopped basil
2 cups prepared tomato sauce or tomato passata
Directions
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add in the oil.
Split the sausage casings with a sharp knife and add the meat to the pan. Season the meat with salt and pepper. Using a wooden spoon, break up the sausage and cook for four to six minutes or until almost cooked through.
Add in the gnocchi and cook with the sausage for another one to two minutes or until lightly golden.
Add in the tomato sauce, whatever creamy thing you’re using, and water and stir to combine.
Add spinach or kale and cover the pan with a tight-fitting lid. Cook for three to four minutes or until the gnocchi is tender and the greens are wilted.
Remove the lid, stir in the pesto, and serve. Enjoy!
