The bourbon ball has been a Southern delicacy since the 1930s. It’s a truffle-like dessert from Kentucky made with bourbon, pecans, wafer crumbs and chocolate.

Ingredients
1 1/2 fl oz bourbon
1/2 fl oz crème de cacao
1/2 fl oz hazelnut liqueur
1 egg white
4 drops chocolate bitters
Dark chocolate shavings
Wafer crumbs, for garnish
Directions
Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice.
Add the bourbon, crème de cacao, hazelnut liqueur and egg white to the shaker.
Shake well until chilled, and strain into a cocktail glass. Add the chocolate bitters.
Garnish with dark chocolate shavings and wafer crumbs. Enjoy!
