Ingredients
2 tablespoons butter
4 slices bread, sourdough, multigrain, white or bread of choice
1 to 1 1/2 cups gouda cheese, grated
4 to 6 slices of cooked bacon
2 to 4 tablespoons fruit jam or preserves, apricot, peach, fig or raspberry
Directions
Lay out the slices of bread. On one side of each, spread a layer of jam, then layer with cheese and bacon before adding another layer. Top each sandwich with another slice of bread, jam-side down.
In a skillet, melt butter and grill the sandwiches until both sides are golden brown and the cheese softened. Enjoy!
