The Caribou Cocktail
This drink has a storied history and allegedly one that initially involved caribou blood, but today, the homemade Caribou cocktail can be viewed as mulled wine with a kick.

Ingredients
- 4 cups Canadian-made red wine
- 1 1/2 cups Canadian whisky
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 cinnamon stick (optional)
- 2 whole cloves (optional)
- 1 orange peel (optional)
Directions
- Place all ingredients in a medium pot over medium heat.
- Cook until maple syrup is completely incorporated and the liquid is hot but not boiling.
- Keep warm on the stove until ready to serve. Enjoy!
