Ingredients
2 sheets frozen puff pastry, defrosted according to package instructions
6 strips bacon, cooked crisp
1 small wheel Brie
½ cup prepared cranberry sauce
1 egg + 1 tablespoon water, for an egg wash
Kosher salt
Directions
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
Lay our the two sheets of frozen puff pastry and cut each into nine equal squares – for this, I like to do a grid pattern of three by three.
Prepare your fillings by crumbling the cooked bacon and cutting the brie into small cubes.
Separate your squares of puff pastry and top each with approximately two teaspoons of prepared cranberry sauce, some crumbled bacon, and a few Brie cubes. Brush the egg wash along a corner of each square, fold over to make a little triangle turnover, and brush the top with egg wash. Using a fork, press down the seam to seal and place the turnovers onto your prepared baking sheets.
Bake your pastries in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown and delicious. Allow them to cool slightly and serve with cocktails or next to a salad for an easy holiday appetizer!
