Ingredients
- 2 sheets frozen puff pastry, defrosted according to package instructions
- 6 strips bacon, cooked crisp
- 1 small wheel Brie
- ½ cup prepared cranberry sauce
- 1 egg + 1 tablespoon water, for an egg wash
- Kosher salt
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Lay our the two sheets of frozen puff pastry and cut each into nine equal squares – for this, I like to do a grid pattern of three by three.
- Prepare your fillings by crumbling the cooked bacon and cutting the brie into small cubes.
- Separate your squares of puff pastry and top each with approximately two teaspoons of prepared cranberry sauce, some crumbled bacon, and a few Brie cubes. Brush the egg wash along a corner of each square, fold over to make a little triangle turnover, and brush the top with egg wash. Using a fork, press down the seam to seal and place the turnovers onto your prepared baking sheets.
- Bake your pastries in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown and delicious. Allow them to cool slightly and serve with cocktails or next to a salad for an easy holiday appetizer!
