Ingredients
1 lb ground turkey
1 lb ground pork
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon clove
2 eggs
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
3 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup flour
2 cups beef stock
1 cup whipping cream
1 tbsp dijon mustard
1 teaspoon beef bouillon
1/4 bunch parsley, finely chopped
Directions
In a large mixing bowl, combine the turkey, pork, salt, spices, eggs, and breadcrumbs. Mix to combine, being mindful not to overmix.
Shape into 24 evenly-sized meatballs (a small ice cream scoop is perfect for this!).
Once formed, heat the olive oil in a large skillet. Sear the meatballs on all sides, then remove and set aside.
Reduce the heat then add the butter to form a roux. Add the stock and bring it up to a gentle boil, whisking to avoid any lumps. Season with salt and pepper, then add the cream, mustard, and bouillon.
Add back the meatballs. Return to a gentle boil, then reduce to a simmer. Allow the meatballs to cook in the sauce until thickened and the meat has cooked through.
