DIY Strawberry Jam

Learn how to make your own small batch strawberry jam right at home in just three easy steps. 



DIY Strawberry Jam

  • 5 cups strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 3 teaspoon pectin
  • 1/4 cup sugar


1.  Wash the strawberries and remove their green leaves.

2.  In a large pot over medium heat, add your strawberries whole with the lemon juice. Bring to a rolling boil then simmer for 10 minutes.

3.  Mix the pectin into the sugar and sprinkle over the strawberries. If you like a smoother jam, use an immersion blender to help break down the strawberries, but keep a few whole so there are pieces of fruit still whole in the jam.  Continue to heat for approximately 5 minutes. 

4.  Remove the jam from the heat and let it rest for about 10 minutes before canning. Enjoy!
