Fried cheese on a stick

  • 100 grams of mozzarella cheese
  • 100 grams Emmental cheese
  • 200 grams of prosciutto cotto or ham (a large slice of 1 centimeter thick)
  • 2 eggs
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Sunflower oil


  1. First cut the slice of ham into 2x2 centimeter pieces (Note that it must be one centimeter thick).
  2. Then cut the two kinds of cheese into two centimeter cubes.
  3. Punch on a skewer, in order, a piece of prosciutto, a piece of cheese and a second piece of prosciutto (You should be able to prepare 12 to 15 skewers with this amount of ingredients).
  4. Beat the egg in a bowl. Pour the bread crumbs into another bowl.
  5. Dip each skewer in the beaten egg, before dipping it in the breadcrumbs.
  6. Repeat the process so that each skewer is covered with two layers of bread crumbs.
  7. Heat the oil in a frying pan and cook the kebabs until golden brown on all sides.
  8. Cooking should take about three minutes. Serve skewers warm with marinara sauce.
