Bang bang buffalo shrimp

  • 20 large shrimp
  • 1/2 cup rice flour
  • 1 liter club soda
  • 2 liters oil for frying
  • Half cup mayonnaise
  • 100 milliliters sriracha
  • 100 milliliters hot sauce
  • 2 tablespoons plum sauce
  • Sesame seeds
  • Chives or green onions
  • Salt to taste


  1. Preheat oil to 325F in a heavy bottom pan. Whisk club soda into flour until it creates a loose paste. Toss the shrimp in the batter and drop in pan and fry for approximately six to eight minutes.
  2. In a side bowl mix mayo, sriracha, buffalo sauce and plum sauce. 
  3. Lightly toss shrimp in sauce and serve with sesame seeds and chopped chives.
