Mummy hand meatloaf

Ingredients

  • 1 package ground turkey (about 500g)
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup zucchini, shredded
  • 1/2 cup carrots, shredded
  • 3 tablespoons parsley, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Gruyere cheese, shredded
  • 5 almonds, sliced
  • Ketchup, for garnish

Directions

  1. Pre-heat your oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. In a large bowl combine the turkey, onion and garlic powder, egg, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, BBQ sauce, salt and pepper and mix. Add in the zucchini, carrot, parsley, and cheddar cheese.
  3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the meatloaf mixture and shape into a large hand. Top with Gruyere cheese. Place the almonds in place of the fingernails.
  4. Bake in the oven until it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F or about 20-25 minutes.
  5. Switch to broil function on your oven and allow the cheese to brown and blister.
  6. Remove from the oven, serve on a bed of mashed potatoes, and use ketchup to have some fun to mimic blood!
