Pizza skulls

While desserts are always fun, it’s probably a good idea to consider dinner as well and if you’re looking for something devilish but still delicious, look no further than these Pizza Skulls that are sure to get devoured in no time. The secret to creating these is this very cool skull-shaped muffin tin. While this tin is traditionally used for sweet treats like cake and brownies, it can definitely work for these savory treats as well. Simply place a strip of pizza dough in each cavity, fill it with marinara sauce, mozzarella, and the toppings of your choice, and then bake at 375°F until they’re golden brown. Beware - these will be very hot coming out of the oven so allow them to cool for at least 5 minutes before diving in.

Ingredients

  • 1 roll pre-made pizza dough
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup mini pepperoni
  • Toppings of your choice

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Divide the pizza dough into six equal pieces lengthwise. Place one length of dough in each skull cavity, leaving an overhang. Fill with marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, and additional toppings of your choice. Seal the remaining dough to create a pocket.
  3. Bake for 16 to 18 minutes or until the crust is golden brown. The filling will be hot; allow the pizza skulls to cool for five minutes before enjoying.
