Porridge
Ingredients
- 1 cup (240 milliliters) rolled oats
- 1-1/2 cups (350 milliliters) water
- 1 cup (240 milliliters) milk
- 1/8 teaspoon (0.75 milliliters) salt
- 1/8 teaspoon (0.75 milliliters) cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon (5 milliliters) butter
- 4 teaspoons (20 milliliters) chia seeds
- 4 teaspoons (20 milliliters) sliced almonds
- 4 teaspoons (20 milliliters) toasted shredded unsweetened coconut
- Fresh raspberries, to serve
- Honey, to serve
Directions
- Add the oats to a saucepan. Pour over water and milk. Stir together. Bring the mixture to a boil, then down to a simmer. Simmer 10-15 minutes until thick. Stir in salt and cinnamon. Add butter and stir in. Spoon into bowls.
- Sprinkle chia seeds on top. Add sliced almonds. Sprinkle with coconut. Add raspberries to one side. Drizzle honey on top.
