Rodney Bowers' Habanero Hot Sauce
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 5 cloves garlic smashed
- 2 carrots roughly chopped
- 2 tomatoes, rough chop
- One sweet onion rough chop
- 1/4 cup lime juice
- 4 habanero peppers, halved
- 2 tablespoons apple cide vinegar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- Salt to taste
Directions
- Heat the oil in a skillet on medium heat. Add the carrots and let them cook until soft Then add the garlic , onion, tomatoes, habaneros and cook, stirring occasionally.
- Once everything is cooked toss it in blender and add the lime juice, vinegar and honey. Purée with 1/4 cup of water to thin it out.
