Sascha's winning beef chili

Sascha is the Manager of Housing Programs at 360°kids, and is here with a deliciously hearty chili.

Ingredients
- 900 grams of lean ground beef
- 455 grams of bacon finely chopped
- 5 cloves of pressed garlic
- 2 red onions finely chopped
- 2 bell peppers finely chopped
- 2 jalapenos deseeded and finely chopped
- 2 cans tomato sauce
- 1 can kidney beans, drained and patted dry
- 1 can whole kernel corn, drained
- 2 packets of taco seasoning
- 4 tablespoons of cinnamon
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Garnished with a sprinkle of cheddar cheese and tortilla chips
Directions
- Add bacon, onions, garlic, jalapeños, salt and pepper into a pot and cook until the bacon is beginning to brown.
- Add in ground beef and continue to stir.
- When beef is browned add taco seasoning and cinnamon to pot. Stir until everything is evenly coated in spice.
- Add in peppers, corn, beans, and tomato sauce. Cook down to a thick consistency. (Add in maple syrup.)
- Add more salt, pepper and cinnamon to your liking.
- Garnish with a sprinkle of cheddar cheese and tortilla chips.
