Turmeric milk

A healthy, anti-inflammatory substitute for your morning coffee, this golden turmeric milk is spiced perfectly for warm, delicious flavours.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups coconut milk
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 pod of cardamom or 1/8 teaspoon
  • 1 teaspoon raw honey
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • Small piece of fresh peeled ginger root or 1/4 teaspoon ginger powder
  • A pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients in a high speed mixer until smooth. Strain if you prefer.
  2. Pour in a small saucepan and heat for three to five minutes over medium heat until it is hot but not boiling.
