Ingredients
1 large yellow onion or 2 medium onions
1 lbs rib steak
4 tablespoons butter, divided into two tablespoons each
Salt and pepper
1/2 cup mayonnaise
A few shakes of worcestershire
2 cloves garlic
1 pack of 12 slider buns
8 slices provolone
1 cup Velveeta cheese
3 to 4 tablespoons whole milk
Directions
Start by chopping your onion as well as slicing your steak very thinly.TIP: Place the steak in the freezer for 30 minutes, this will allow it to firm up, making it much easier to slice thinly.
Preheat your oven to 350° F and get a pan on medium heat with two tablespoons of butter in it.
Sweat your onions until softened, about five to seven minutes.
Turn the heat up to medium-high and add your pieces of steak and season with salt and pepper. You want to cook this so it gets nice and gnarly outside on the beef. Once cooked, set the Philly filling to the side.
Make your sauce by mixing your mayonnaise and Worcestershire together in a bowl.
Melt your butter with the minced garlic in the microwave.
Open the slider buns and place your mayo and cover your base with provolone. Top with your beef and onions and top the buns.
Place on a sheet and drizzle the garlic butter over top. Cover the sliders in tin foil.
Bake in the oven for 10 minutes, remove the tin foil, and bake for 10 more minutes.
Finally, melt your Velveeta with the milk in the microwave until you get a nice cheese sauce. TIP: Make your cheese sauce right before serving so it doesn't go solid again
