1 cup sugar
1 cup lemon juice, about 8 to 10 lemons
1 extra lemon for slices, for garnish
6 cups water

Directions
Get a grill going on medium-high heat.
Slice all your lemons but one in half and grill until the cut side has caramelized (brown) TIP: This extra step will make your lemonade extra special it will give it that extra deep flavour.
Juice the lemons until you get one cup.
In a small pot, combine one cup of sugar and water and bring to a simmer, dissolving the sugar. TIP: This step is mandatory but ensures that you will not have a grainy texture in the lemonade.
Pour the lemon juice and sugar water (simple syrup) into a jug and mix.
Add water.
Refrigerate and enjoy when ready.
Slice the final lemon for garnish.
To serve, add a sprig of mint and lemon slice to a glass with an ice cube.
Pour and top with whisky or prosecco if desired. Serve and enjoy!
