Ingredients
1-15 ounce can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1 teaspoon smokey paprika
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt and pepper
2 tablespoons lemon juice
3 tablespoons olive oil
TO GARNISH
Pita bread
Red onion, sliced
Iceberg lettuce, shredded
Tomatoes, sliced
Hummus
Directions
Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees F.
In a bowl mix together the chickpeas, smokey paprika, cumin, garlic powder, cinnamon, salt, pepper, lemon juice and olive oil.
Place the seasoned chickpeas on a lined baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes.
Warm the pita bread in the oven for about five to seven minutes wrapped in aluminum foil.
Assemble the pitas with all of your favorite garnishes and enjoy!
