Chickpea shawarma wrap


  • 1-15 ounce can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1 teaspoon smokey paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil


  • Pita bread
  • Red onion, sliced
  • Iceberg lettuce, shredded
  • Tomatoes, sliced
  • Hummus


  1. Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. In a bowl mix together the chickpeas, smokey paprika, cumin, garlic powder, cinnamon, salt, pepper, lemon juice and olive oil.
  3. Place the seasoned chickpeas on a lined baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  4. Warm the pita bread in the oven for about five to seven minutes wrapped in aluminum foil.
  5. Assemble the pitas with all of your favorite garnishes and enjoy!
