Chickpea shawarma wrap
Ingredients
- 1-15 ounce can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1 teaspoon smokey paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon salt and pepper
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
TO GARNISH
- Pita bread
- Red onion, sliced
- Iceberg lettuce, shredded
- Tomatoes, sliced
- Hummus
Directions
- Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees F.
- In a bowl mix together the chickpeas, smokey paprika, cumin, garlic powder, cinnamon, salt, pepper, lemon juice and olive oil.
- Place the seasoned chickpeas on a lined baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes.
- Warm the pita bread in the oven for about five to seven minutes wrapped in aluminum foil.
- Assemble the pitas with all of your favorite garnishes and enjoy!
