Ingredients
-
1 pot
-
Bag of dry chickpeas
-
Water
Directions
- Soak your chickpeas overnight, or for about eight to nine hours in a pot of cold water, making sure that they are covered and there’s an extra inch of water. When soaked for a minimum of eight hours, drain, rinse, and put back into the pot.
- Fill your pot with water. Put on the stove, and boil for about 45 minutes or until tender. Check on your chickpeas every so often and remove the sudsy-looking water. Once your chickpeas are tender, they are ready. You can remove and discard the water, or you can save it and use it in soups. These chickpeas freeze really well, just throw them into little plastic bags and into the freezer!
