Earl grey tea cocktail


  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup milk 2%
  • 50 milliliters granulated sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 cloves
  • 30 milliliters dried hibiscus flower
  • 2 bags Earl Grey tea
  • ¼ lemon, zested
  • 2 ounces ungava gin


  1. In a spouted container (could be a teapot), add your boiled water and hibiscus tea leaves, and let this steep for 3 minutes. Add gin at the 3 minute mark, and strain out tea leaves. 
  2. While your first mixture steeps, bring your milk to a light simmer in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the 2 earl grey tea bags, sugar, cinnamon and cloves for approximately 3 minutes. Stir once. After 3 minutes, strain out the cinnamon, cloves and earl grey tea bags. 
  3. Grab your favourite coffee mug, and fill almost half way with the milk, then pour in the hibiscus gin mixture. Zest lemon on top of foam or in the mixture lightly, and sprinkle cinnamon powder on top.
