Jasmine rice

  • 2 cups (470 milliliters) jasmine rice
  • 2.5 cups (590 milliliters) water


  1. Place rice in a saucepan and add water. Heat to a quick simmer.
  2. Reduce heat to low and let rice simmer, covered, until all of the liquid is absorbed.
  3. Remove from heat and set aside.
  4. Transfer the cooked rice to a serving dish or bowl when ready to serve.
