2 cups (470 milliliters) jasmine rice

2.5 cups (590 milliliters) water
Directions
- Place rice in a saucepan and add water. Heat to a quick simmer.
- Reduce heat to low and let rice simmer, covered, until all of the liquid is absorbed.
- Remove from heat and set aside.
- Transfer the cooked rice to a serving dish or bowl when ready to serve.
