Maple sausage patties

A meaty side that is a great choice for your next family dinner. 



  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 900 grams medium ground pork
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried garlic
  • 1 tablespoon dehydrated onion
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon fennel seeds, toasted and lightly crushed
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried chilies
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme


  1. Place all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl and incorporate with your hands.
  2. Form equal patties of desired size, about ten.
  3. Let chill covered in a fridge for about an hour
  4. Heat oil in a large cast iron pan on medium-high heat.
  5. Sear off the patties flipping half way until fully cooked through.
