Marinara sauce


  • 3 tablespoons (45 milliliters) extra virgin olive oil
  • 796 milliliter can diced tomatoes
  • 156 milliliter can tomato paste
  • 1/2 grated onion
  • 2 tablespoons (30 milliliters) chopped garlic
  • 1 teaspoon (5 milliliters) dried oregano
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/8 teaspoon (0.5 milliliters) salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon (0.5 milliliters) pepper
  • Fresh grated Parmesan, for garnish


  1. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add diced tomatoes in liquid, tomato paste, onion, garlic, oregano, bay leaf, salt and pepper to the pan. Stir and bring to a gentle boil. Cook, stirring periodically for 20-25 minutes.
  3. Serve with jumbo turkey meatballs and zoodles, and top with freshly grated Parmesan.
