To a cocktail shaker filled with ice add bourbon, simple syrup, pumpkin puree and bitters. Stir vigorously until pumpkin puree has been completely incorporated. Serve over ice with an orange peel and enjoy!
Ginger simple syrup:
To a saucepan over medium high heat, add sugar, water and ginger. Let this come to a boil. Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from the heat and let cool completely. Strain the ginger out and transfer to a jar.
