Strawberry basil gin fizz

Subtly sweet, a little tart, and truly refreshing!



  • 8 strawberries, sliced
  • 4–5 basil leaves, chopped
  • 4 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/2 lemon, zested and juiced
  • Ice
  • 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons gin
  • 1/2 cup sparkling water
  • Strawberries and basil, for garnish


  1. Set out two highball glasses and divide the strawberries, basil, sugar, and lemon zest between the two glasses. Using the end of a wooden spoon, muddle everything together until jammy. 
  2. Add in the lemon juice and stir well to combine and dissolve any gritty sugar.
  3. Add a handful of ice to each glass and pour over the gin. Stir well then top with the sparkling water and garnish with a strawberry and a bit of basil. Enjoy!
