The Buffalo wing dog

  • Grilled hot dog
  • Toasted bun
  • Blue cheese sauce - any blue cheese mixed with a bit of heavy cream
  • Celery leaves
  • Hot sauce
  • Carrot and celery sticks


  1. Make sure that your grill is clean before you begin to BBQ. Pre-heat the BBQ on high for about ten minutes - you’re aiming for the grill to reach about 425° before you put the dogs on the grill. Once the BBQ has reached the proper temperature, add the dogs and close the lid. Let them grill on one side for about five minutes. Flip them and grill for about another five minutes.
  2. These hot dogs don’t need to go back in the BBQ once the dogs are grilled. To assemble, slather the toasted buns with blue cheese sauce and nestle a grilled hot dog on top. Finish with a bit more blue cheese sauce, celery leaves and as much hot sauce as your heart desires.
  3. Serve with carrot and celery sticks.
