Xe’ek salad

Ensalada Xe’ec is a staple in the Yucatan region and is also sometimes made as salsa. It’s the perfect fresh pairing to any dish.

Ingredients
- 1 jicama
- 2 oranges
- 3 clementines
- 200 g watermelon
- 1 grapefruit
- 10 leaves fresh cilantro
- 1 lime
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup grapefruit juice
- 1 pinch of chile piquin or Tajin powder
Directions
- Peel the Jicama and cut it into small cubes.
- Peel the fruit and cut it into small triangles the citruses and watermelons in small cubes.
- Place all fruit, including grapefruit, oranges, tangerines, and watermelon into a bowl, add juices and juiced lime, and mix.
- Season with salt and chile piquin or Tajin powder.
- Finish with chopped cilantro.
- Serve and enjoy!
