Let it snow gin cocktail

This is a gin-based drink that’s a loose take on the Collins, without the soda, tons of mint, coconut, and crushed ice.

YIELDS
1

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons icing sugar
  • 5 drops water or coconut water
  • 1.5 oz gin
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 4 sprigs mint
  • 1 oz coconut water
  • 1/4 lime (cut in half)
  • Coconut flakes, for garnish

Directions

  1. Prep your glassware first by creating your Snow Drip Effect on the edge of the glass. This can be done by combining four tablespoons of icing sugar and five drops of water (or coconut water). Stir and combine, you don’t want it too runny, otherwise, it will drip too much all over the glass.
  2. Once the Sugar has settled (give this about 20 minutes or prep the morning of), start your cocktail. Add in your lime wedge and granulated sugar and muddle well. Add your gin, one sprig of Mint, and coconut water, and top with crushed ice.
  3. Stir well, and top with more crushed ice if needed. Garnish with remaining Mint on top and dust some icing sugar to complete the whole look. Enjoy!

TIP: You can also have fun with the colours. Add different food colouring to your icing sugar mix. I’ve done this for Halloween where the red looks like blood dripping from the glass.
