Merry and bright whisky cocktail

This is a combination of bourbon, sparkling wine, gingerbread syrup, and lemon juice.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz bourbon whiskey
  • 1 oz gingerbread syrup
  • 0.5 oz lemon juice
  • 1 oz sparkling wine

Directions

  1. Add whiskey, gingerbread syrup, lemon juice, and sparkling wine in a mixing glass with ice and stir well. TIP: To make sure this cocktail stays cold, it’s best to use a chilled sparkling wine, so make sure you have some stocked in the fridge the night before.
  2. Strain and store in the fridge until you’re ready to pour into your ornaments. Serve and enjoy! 

TIP: I would avoid drinks that are typically served over ice, like a Collins, Margarita (not frozen), French Martini, and Sours. The foam from sours may get tricky with the cleanup. 

TIP: You can also opt for a Ginger Beer instead if you want to make this cocktail less alcoholic. Just be mindful of the sugar, as that will need to be adjusted depending on the ginger beer you use.
