Jazzed up hummus

Ingredients

  • 1 container of store-bought hummus
  • Zest + juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, divided
  • 1/2 cup canned chickpea, rinsed and drained
  • Toasted pita, for serving

Directions

  1. In a bowl, mash the canned chickpeas lightly with a fork, and reserve one tablespoon for garnish; then add the lemon, garlic, and half the olive oil and mix. Stir into the store-bought hummus.
  2.  To serve, garnish with mashed chickpea, and parsley and drizzle the remaining. Enjoy!
