Caribbean Chocolate Tea

Caribbean Chocolate Tea (Cocoa Tea) is a delicious, silky smooth blend of natural cacao, cinnamon and nutmeg, simmered to toasty, chocolatey perfection and sweetened with condensed milk. Ingredients
- 3 cups water
- 2 to 3 whole chocolate balls, grated
- 2 cups milk, more or less as desired
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 teaspoon fresh nutmeg, grated, or 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk or sugar/sweetener of choice, as desired
Directions
- Combine the water and cinnamon stick in a medium-sized saucepan, then bring to a gentle boil over medium heat.
- Add the grated chocolate and nutmeg and stir well. Reduce heat to medium-low and allow the chocolate tea to simmer for about 15 minutes. Then add in the milk and stir until heated through.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and gently stir in the vanilla. When ready to serve, strain well, sweeten to taste with condensed milk or sugar and serve while hot. Enjoy!
