Ingredients
Cheeseball
1 cup cream cheese, room temperature
1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
Hot sauce, to taste
5 to 6 tablespoons finely chopped chives, divided
Crackers
1 sleeve saltines
1/2 cup butter, melted
Salt & pepper, optional
Directions
Cheeseball
Add the cream cheese to a large bowl and beat with a spatula until smooth. Beat in the cheddar cheese, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, hot sauce, and one tablespoon of chives.
Transfer the mixture to a piece of plastic wrap or parchment paper and form into a ball or a cone if you’d like your cheeseball to resemble a pine tree. Transfer to the fridge for at least 1 hour to firm up.
Saltines
Meanwhile, prepare the crackers. Heat your oven to 400ºF and lay the crackers out onto a sheet pan in a single layer. Brush with the melted butter and season if desired. Bake the crackers for 8 to 10 minutes until golden brown. Set aside to cool.
Serve
When the cheeseball is firm, scatter the remaining 4 or 5 tablespoons of chives into a shallow dish or plate. Unwrap the cheeseball and roll in the chives to coat. Transfer to a platter topped with a yellow bell pepper star and serve alongside the butter-baked saltines.
