Black Cat Alley Cocktail

Black Cat Alley is a perfect little sipper commemorating local Hong Kong street food stall ingredients like toasted, smoky, sugared chestnuts and ginger custards.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz scotch
  • 1/2 oz Spanish sweet vermouth
  • 1/2 oz chestnut syrup
  • 3/4 oz lemon juice

Directions

  1. In a cocktail shaker, combine all ingredients but the chestnut.
  2. Add enough ice to cover the liquid in the shaker, plus a bit more.
  3. Cover and shake vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds.
  4. Strain through a Hawthorne strainer into a 12-oz rocks glass over fresh ice.
  5. Garnish with the roasted chestnut. Enjoy!
