A healthier version of a favourite classic comfort dish.
4 skin-on chicken thighs (bone in)
1/3 cup hot sauce
1/3 cup buttermilk
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon paprika
Hot sauce, for serving

Place the chicken in a bag with hot sauce and buttermilk. Let marinate for one to 24 hours.
In a bowl, mix the flour, and spices.
Spray the air fryer basket with olive oil or line with a parchment liner. And preheat to 400° F.
Toss each piece of the fried chicken in the flour and shake off any excess flour. Make sure to get off the excess before placing it in the air fryer.
Place in the basket in a single layer not touching. Spray the chicken with oil on all sides and cook for 12 to 13 minutes. Flip and give the chicken another spritz with the oil and cook for another 12 to 13 minutes until it reaches at least 165° F.
