  • 2 baguettes, sliced down the middle lengthwise
  • 115 grams unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 4 large cloves garlic, peeled
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons (30 milliliters) dried parsley
  • 1/2 cup (120 milliliters) Parmesan cheese, grated

  1. Pre-heat oven to 425F (220C).
  2. Grate the garlic cloves on a micro-plane, or a fine cheese grater.
  3. Place garlic pulp in a mixing bowl.
  4. Add butter, salt and pepper, and mix until properly combined.
  5. Spread garlic butter over the inside part of the baguette halves.
  6. Place bread on a baking tray, butter side up.
  7. Sprinkle dried parsley over the butter, and top with grated Parmesan.
  8. Place garlic bread in the oven and cook for five to six minutes, or until butter and cheese is nicely melted, and the edges of the bread is golden brown.
  9. Remove from oven, cut into portion size pieces, and serve hot.
