Garlic and Parmesan bread
Ingredients
- 2 baguettes, sliced down the middle lengthwise
- 115 grams unsalted butter, room temperature
- 4 large cloves garlic, peeled
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons (30 milliliters) dried parsley
- 1/2 cup (120 milliliters) Parmesan cheese, grated
Directions
- Pre-heat oven to 425F (220C).
- Grate the garlic cloves on a micro-plane, or a fine cheese grater.
- Place garlic pulp in a mixing bowl.
- Add butter, salt and pepper, and mix until properly combined.
- Spread garlic butter over the inside part of the baguette halves.
- Place bread on a baking tray, butter side up.
- Sprinkle dried parsley over the butter, and top with grated Parmesan.
- Place garlic bread in the oven and cook for five to six minutes, or until butter and cheese is nicely melted, and the edges of the bread is golden brown.
- Remove from oven, cut into portion size pieces, and serve hot.
