Hot sauce biscuits

Ingredients

Biscuits:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour 
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder 
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt 
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder 
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2/3 cup melted butter 
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce 
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded  
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

For breakfast sandwiches:

  • 6 slices peameal bacon, grilled 
  • 6 eggs, sunny side up 
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese 

Directions

  1. Mix all of the dry ingredients in a bowl, then add the milk, butter, and hot sauce. Mix well, then add the cheese and parsley.  
  2. Place 1/2 cup of the batter on parchment paper for each biscuit, and bake at 450°F for 18 to 20 minutes.
  3. To make breakfast sandwiches, cut each biscuit in half and assemble with one slice each of bacon, egg and Swiss cheese.
