Turmeric and ginger lemonade
Ingredients
- 8 cups water
- 1-1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 4 centimeter knob of fresh turmeric, finely grated OR 1 1/2 teaspoons ground turmeric powder
- 5 centimeter knob of fresh ginger, finely grated OR 1-1/2 teaspoon ground ginger powder
- 1/4 cup honey, more if you like it sweeter
- Mint leaves and lemon slices for garnish
Directions
- Add everything except garnishes to a high powered blender (if you don’t have a high powered blender, use a regular blender and blend longer) and blend for about one minute or until lemonade turns a bright yellow.
- Pour over ice and garnish with mint and lemon slices. Store in a mason jar in the fridge for up to five days. Enjoy!
