Upgraded Rice Pack

Step up your microwave rice at your next weeknight dinner with this deliciously easy recipe made with pineapple, carrots, maple syrup and sriracha!

Ingredients
Upgraded Rice Pack
- 1 microwave basmati rice pack
- 2 teaspoon reduced sodium soy, tamari or coconut aminos
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup (or to taste)
- 1 teaspoon reserved pineapple juice from can
- ¼ teaspoon sesame oil
- ½ teaspoon sriracha (or to taste)
- ½ cup drained canned pineapple tidbits in juice, juice reserved
- ½ cup frozen thawed carrots, peas and corn
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Sesame seeds to garnish
Directions
- Cook the rice in the microwave according to the package.
- Mix the soy sauce, maple syrup, pineapple juice, sesame oil and sriracha to taste together in a small bowl.
- While the rice is still hot, pour it in a large bowl and add the pineapple, frozen veggies, and sauce mix to the rice and stir until combined. Season with salt and pepper, if desired. Top with sesame seeds.
- Divide the rice mixture amongst two to three plates or bowls and serve.
