Gourmet Poutine

These gourmet poutine bites are a Canadian classic with a twist. Grab any frozen fry or tots and load it up with some melty cheese you choose. Grab a can of gravy that you heat, and season to order with thyme, onion and garlic powder and load it on top. To make it a little more filling, pulled pork (also found in the freezer at the grocery store) is always a winning addition.
Ingredients
- Frozen French fries or tots
- Cheese curds
- Gravy (store-bought or homemade)
- Fresh thyme
- Onion powder
- Garlic powder
- Cracked pepper
Directions
- Bake the mini potato tots according to the package instructions until crispy.
- While the tots are baking, heat the gravy in a saucepan until it's warm and season with thyme, onion, garlic powder, and cracked Black Pepper.
- Once the tots are done, place them on a serving platter or in individual cones.
- Sprinkle cheese curds over the hot tots.
- Pour the warm gravy over the tots and cheese curds.
- You can optionally add Pulled Pork, Braised Beef or BBQ Chicken to this dish.
- The heat from the tots and gravy will melt the cheese curds into a gooey delight. Enjoy!
