Jolly Roger juice

Hungover? This is the cure you need! This electrolyte-rich juice helps you stay hydrated plus the vegetable juices help you cut down on sugar cravings. We love using celery and ginger to give it a refreshing flavour, you could pick whatever is your favourite.

SERVES
2

Ingredients

  • 3 stalks kale or romaine lettuce (or 3 cups chopped green cabbage)
  • 3 stalks celery
  • 1 medium English cucumber
  • 1/2 lemon, peeled
  • 1 large apple, cored (or 4 drops pure monk fruit extract)
  • 1-inch piece fresh ginger (optional)
  • Pinch of ground nutmeg (optional)
  • 1/2 cup fresh flat-leaf or curly parsley
  • 1 cup chopped fennel, bulb and/or fronds

Directions

  1. Chop kale, celery, cucumber, lemon, and apple to fit the opening of your juicer.
  2. Starting with the kale, run the ingredients and, if desired, the optional ingredients including ginger, nutmeg, parsley, and/or fennel, through the juicer a handful at a time. If desired, run the pulp through the juicer a second time to extract the maximum amount of juice.
  3. Pour into two glasses and serve. Enjoy!
