Quick naan


  • 3 cups (710 milliliters) all-purpose flour, plus more if needed
  • 1-1/4 cups (300 milliliters) plain yogurt
  • 2 teaspoons (10 milliliters) baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1.25 milliliters) salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1.25 milliliters) canola oil
  • 1 teaspoon (5 milliliters) butter, melted


  1. In a bowl, combine flour, yogurt, baking powder, and salt; knead until rough ball is formed, adding more flour as needed.
  2. Divide dough into four equal pieces. Roll out each piece into a flat disk.
  3. Heat oil in a medium frying pan. Cook for approximately three minutes on each side, flipping when brown puffy spots appear; then remove to a paper towel lined plate.
  4. Repeat for remaining dough, serve with melted butter over top.
