Ingredients

  • 4 salmon filets (about 5-7 oz), skin removed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lime, juiced and zested
  • 2 tsp ginger, minced
  • 2 tsp garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • Cilantro, finely diced for garnish
  • Lime wedges, for garnish
  • Fine kosher or sea salt

Directions

Prepare the salmon:

  1. Rinse salmon with cold water and pat dry. It should be completely dry. Set aside on a plate.
  2. In a small bowl, add olive oil, lime juice, lime zest, ginger, garlic, and paprika. Stir to combine.
  3. Drizzle over top of salmon and rub all around each filet until it is completely coated in the sauce.
  4. Sprinkle with salt, about 1 tsp for all four filets.

Grill the salmon:

  1. Set barbecue to high heat for 5 minutes, or until hot. Reduce heat to medium-low.
  2. Place salmon filets on the cooler area of your grill (if you know where that is!). Cook for about 3 minutes, then flip and cook for another 3-5 minutes.
  3. Transfer to a plate/platter. Garnish with cilantro and scatter lime wedges around the plate. Serve hot!
