1 (750ml) bottle Sauvignon Blanc or Riesling, chilled
2 cups sparkling water
Fresh mint, tarragon, or basil
Directions
Heat your grill to high.
Cut two of the grapefruits in half and cut the third into 12 wedges. Place the halved and wedged grapefruit onto the grill, cut side down, along with the whole jalapeño pepper and grill until lightly charred, turning the pepper and grapefruit wedges occasionally.
Thickly slice the grilled jalapeño and set aside to cool along with the grapefruit.
Once cool, squeeze the halved grapefruits into a large pitcher. Discard the peels. Pour in the rum, orange liquor, white wine, and sparkling water and stir to combine. Stir in the charred grapefruit wedges and jalapeño slices as well as a handful of fresh herbs and place in the fridge to chill for at least 1 hour or until ready to serve.
